This documentary is an homage to María Farías, an African-Uruguayan dancer who endured slavery in the XX century.
Through the ancestral cry of Candombe she was able to overcome pain with rebellion against humiliation, transforming resistance in resilience, breaking free from mourning and contributing to build a solidary society. This documentary approaches Afro-American culture in Uruguay, which includes Candombe, religion and political, social and cultural organizations. Production: Resumen Latinoamericano.
