The symposium will analyze various perspectives of the revolutionary process that took place in Cuba with the arrival of Fidel Castro, in addition to an exhaustive analysis of his figure.
The Amphitheater Eva Perón, located at the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina, will host next March 10 the presentation of the “Fidel Castro Lecture”, promoted by the Movements towards ALBA.
The classes will take place during a four-month period (April to June) and will be attended by two Cuban representatives: Marilín Peña, from the Martin Luther King Popular Education Center and Yohanka Leon del Río, who is part of the Latin America Group: Social Philosophy and Axiology.
At the beginning of the meeting, there will be a screening of a movie about Fidel Castro’s rebellious practice.
The program of the lecture has as its objective the study of Fidel’s legacy, including the influence that had on the leader of the Cuban Revolution the thought of José Martí, and making a review of the revolutionary genesis that brought as a consequence the victory of the Revolution in 1959. The classes will also study the importance of Fidel Castro’s internationalism and the debate between reformism, socialism and revolution.
