“Without doubt, the solution to all the Venezuelan problems should be found without a foreign interference”, highlighted the Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Chancellery Alexander Shchetinin this Thursday, after referring to the press versions about the alleged preparation of the US’ South Commando for a military operation in Latin American.
The Russian diplomat left clear that the Venezuelan people should solve the problems of Venezuela. They should dialogue and discuss to agree for the solutions, and in this context he underlined the necessity of a great national conciliation and the abandonment of the ideological differences between political forces.
“If the international community could help to get to the negotiations table, that would be important”, he added while condemning the partial postures that only respond to the interests of one of the parties, and that only encourage civil disobedience and violent actions.
According to the diplomat, all the solution alternatives and proposals should be looked on the base and respect of the Constitution. He also defended Nicolas Maduro’s proposal to call upon a National Constitutional Assembly, which totally responds to the Magna Carta and can be a pro dialogue mechanism.
Since past April, the Venezuelan opposition is organizing and starring violent mobilizations, lootings to commercial establishments, attacks on security forces, among other actions, with the objective to force early elections -Maduro will not accept it and will keep the official agenda-. The mobilizations of the opposition have left decens of casualties and wounded.
The Venezuelan Government has denounced many times the interference of the United States in the events at the country, where the promotion of a “media and economic war” with the objective to overthrow the Chavista government stands out.
