The Israeli government’s decision to close Al-Aqsa Mosque unveils the ugly face of Zionism. This has prevented Muslim worshippers from conducting their daily prayers; there can be no justification or explanation of the closure of Al-AqsaMosque other than the Israeli government’s racist and discriminatory policy against the Palestinians.
Palestine House calls on the government of Canada to use all of its influence to pressure the Israeli government to reopen Al-AqsaMosque for worshippers immediately. Canada must remind the Israeli government of its obligation, as the occupying power of Jerusalem, to respect the sanctity of religious sites and the right of worshippers in the Israeli-occupied Jerusalem.
