La Habana. Greeting messages from all around the globe for the coming of the 59th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution corroborate the prestige won by the Caribbean island at an international level.
Cuba is an example of dignity and hope for the poors of the world and a global reference in health, education, child protection and other indexes of human development, affirmed the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
While greeting his colleague Raúl Castro for the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, Maduro qualified the resistance of the Cuban people as heroic after almost 6 decades of aggression of behalf of the USA.
A communiqué spreaded by the chancellery of the South American country highlighted that the Cuban revolutionary process holds on despite the mercenary invasion in Playa Girón (Giron beach), the numerous sabotage acts and subversive actions, and the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington (almost 60 years ago).
In the name of Venezuela’s government and people, Maduro sent a solidary hug to the Cuban people and qualified them as the outstanding authors of this “great universal epic”.
The leader of Bolivia, Evo Morales, greeted the Cuban people and government due to the important anniversary.
“Our admiration for the achievements made, for your struggle in the name of social justice and for your resistance before the American blockade that has over half a century. Long live Cuba”, expressed the leader in a message on his Twitter account (@evoespueblo).
On their behalf, the maximum leader of Vietnam sent their greeting messages to Raúl Castro.
The letters to who also is the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raúl Castro, were sent by the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong; president Tran Dai Quang and prime minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
In the same way, the president of the National Assembly of the Asian country, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, greeted his peer Esteban Lazo Hernández, and the vice prime minister and Foreign affair head, Pham Binh Minh, greeted chancellor Bruno Rodríguez.
For the scholars, the Cuban Revolution is a process that started by the end of the XIX century, when the attempt to free Cuba from the colonial Spanish regime originated.
The Liberator Army showed signs of patriotism and bravery, virtues that were then inherited by the young generation of the first half of the XX century, a generation that leaded by Fidel Castro and with the Rebel Army, drove them to the definitive triumph on January 1 of 1959.
During all this time, the capacity of resistance of the Cuban people maintained and the biggest of Antilles islands has consolidated an era of social transformations in the most diverse areas.
It is enough to take as reference the most recent results in Health matter. The island closed 2017 with a infant mortality rate of 4.0, the lowest of its history -after 10 consecutive years of maintaining it beneath 5 for every 1000 live births-.
